Stay in a Modern Eco-Camp at Basecamp Explorer’s Eagle View
“I never knew of a morning in Africa when I woke up that I was not happy.”
(Ernest Hemingway, American Author and Journalist)
Situated on an escarpment, Eagle View offers you sweeping views of the Koiyaki Plains, a natural salt lick, and a watering hole — creating a shared hunting ground for predators and offering distinctive perspectives for game viewing. The innovative architecture and understated design artistically blend with the breathtaking surroundings.
This region stands out as one of Africa's top game-viewing destinations, boasting abundant wildlife throughout the year and hosting the largest population of lions on the continent. You’re warmly invited to this modern eco-camp, where you’ll gaze towards the future of sustainable tourism. If you're a mindful luxury traveller, you’ll find this blend of sustainability and luxury appealing.
Welcome to the world of unforgettable adventures at Karibu Eagle View!
Supporting Responsible and Sustainable Tourism
By consciously choosing Eagle View Camp for your stay, you actively participate in a model of sustainable tourism that prioritises the well-being of the environment, local communities and future generations. Your actions contribute to the overall positive impact of responsible and ethical travel, helping fund activities such as habitat restoration, anti-poaching measures and biodiversity conservation.
As a responsible tourism operator, Basecamp Explorer prioritises the well-being of communities surrounding its camps. Not only do they manage solid waste at the camps, but also extend their waste collection, management and recycling program to benefit local communities.
Through these efforts, Basecamp empowers the Maasai people, enhancing their capacity for sustainable community development. By staying at Eagle View, you directly/indirectly support these initiatives, contributing to the responsible management of natural resources.

Choose Your Tent
The vision for Eagle View aims to combine top-notch ecological architecture with state-of-the-art minimalist design, creating a seamless harmony with the surrounding nature. Because of the camp's untamed and rustic setting, it's recommended for children to be at least seven years old if they're staying here. Each tent provides either a king-size double or twin bed, a bathroom with bio-flush toilets and two showers — one indoors and another in an open-air safari style.
You'll have in-room Wi-Fi and a private elevated viewing deck with exceptional views of Naboisho Conservancy. Whether you choose the Eagle View Double Tent or the Eagle View Safari Tent, you can enjoy guided game drives, walking safaris and delicious meals during your stay. Being a mindful traveller, consider these practical details for a comfortable experience.
Once you've settled in and are at ease, enjoy a memorable dining experience at the camp.
Experience Unforgettable Dining at Eagle View
At Eagle View, you’ll have an unforgettable dining experience in African-inspired dining venues that offer exceptional views at every turn. The ambience of the dining venues is as remarkable as the expertly prepared cuisine they serve.

You can expect to enjoy delicious homemade snacks and tea-time treats, along with three-course lunches and dinners during your stay. Relish the sumptuous meals made from the finest locally produced ingredients. The camp's organic garden ensures freshly picked vegetables are part of every meal.
Take pleasure in your meals while listening to the sounds of Africa under the stars and safari lanterns. This culinary experience will surely add to the enjoyment of your stay.
After you've satisfied your appetite, go for a cultural walk near the camp.
Enjoy a Cultural Walk Near the Camp
A cultural walk is a brief foot tour of various cultural sites within the local community. As you walk around the areas near the camp, you’ll get the chance to meet local people and engage in cross-cultural interactions.
The cultural walk takes place in Talek Town and is guided by experienced Maasai Guides. Talek is located just outside the Maasai Mara Reserve and provides you with a unique opportunity to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people and understand the challenges they face.
The tour lasts approximately one to two hours. You'll start with a tour around Talek Primary School, then proceed to the Talek Health Center, concluding your cultural tour with a visit to the waste management area. This is an ideal trip if you want to understand not only the wildlife but also the culture and the wonderful people of the Maasai Mara.
Your visit to the Eagle View Camp is not merely an exploration of nature's wonders but an immersive experience aligned with their steadfast commitment to sustainability.
