Sustainability Story
Community-based conservation is a core principle for LUNGMĀR. For every guest staying at their camp, they contribute $350 to the High Asia Habitat Fund, supporting the installation of predator-proof corrals and reducing human-wildlife conflict in the region.
Your visits for snow leopard tracking help remote communities diversify their income beyond livestock herding. When you travel to witness a snow leopard, your direct contribution plays a role in making these magnificent creatures more valuable alive than dead.
LUNGMĀR also allocates funds for ranger training and carbon mitigation projects in crucial ecosystems for snow leopards in India, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan through the High Asia Habitat Fund.
