Ritesh Sood, a native of Kullu, brought his passion for Himachal Pradesh to his work in the travel sector. Despite being in Delhi, he longed to return to his roots and showcase his homeland as a premier nature destination. After returning to Manali with his family, Ritesh noticed a lack of accommodation options capturing Himachal Pradesh's essence. Determined to fill this gap, he created a haven that not only offers you comfort but also embodies Himachali heritage, ensuring an authentic experience.
This yearning led him to create ShivAdya, a thoughtfully crafted masterpiece embodying Himachali ethos and Ritesh's dedication to his homeland. Over two and a half years of hard work, ShivAdya emerged as a testament to Ritesh's vision and love for Himachal Pradesh, aiming to make it the foremost choice for nature holidays.
Sustainability Story
ShivAdya embodies sustainability and is constructed with local mud, stone and wood to minimise waste. Every material brought in is maximised, with excess utilised for landfill and landscaping. The guest areas eschew paint and wood polish, ensuring a chemical-free environment for a restful sleep. Rainwater harvesting is a priority, with every drop collected from all three blocks and stored for gardening.
Solar, air heat and hydro energy exclusively heat water throughout the facility, reducing reliance on diesel for generator use only. Biofuels are absent from operational processes, underscoring ShivAdya's commitment to eco-friendly practices in the midst of Manali's abundant rainfall.
