Chomolungma's Call: A Modern-Day Pilgrimage of Reconnection and Transformation
A journey to the base of Mount Everest, where spiritual growth and inner healing awaits
Everest, the world's highest peak, is a mountain of global significance. For many, it symbolises human potential, endurance and perseverance and it is often the number one must-see destination on their bucket-list. But to the local Sherpa people, it is also known as Chomolungma, or the "Holy Mother" Goddess. This sacred space holds tremendous power and spiritual significance.
Unlike most treks to Everest, whose main goal is to reach Basecamp, this journey invites participants to sense, feel and tap into the transformative energy of this sacred space. It is a unique travel experience, a journey of reconnection. As they connect with the unique power of this space, they reconnect with the depths within themselves. The aim is for participants to dive deep while climbing high, to find meaning, understanding and orientation in their lives, and to discover answers to their most relevant questions.
Participants can expect to experience moments of awe, understanding and beautiful openings as they immerse themselves in the flow of the journey. This modern-day pilgrimage of reconnection is an 18-day intimate group journey starting in the colorful and vibrant city of Kathmandu and moving higher and higher into the clarity of the high altitudes. Along the way, participants will connect with the awe-inspiring magnificence of the high Himalayan spaces, its awesome nature, its generous inhabitants, and ancient culture.
This journey of self-discovery and transformation has a greater purpose, as it supports collective transformation. By recognising the beauty and sacredness of this extraordinary Himalayan space, participants reinstate appreciation of its global significance as a sanctuary of natural power and regenerative value. This is a unique opportunity for participants to reconnect with themselves and the world around them and to be forever changed by the power of Chomolungma, the "Holy Mother" Goddess.

Overjoyed to see her again, under a brilliantly clear blue sky. Beautified by a fresh layer of snow. My first glimpse only a few days into the start of my journey. I will lose sight of her again as I hike further up and into the high valley, moving gradually towards that anticipated sunrise moment on top of Gokyo Ri.
The physical challenges on this journey will encourage you to grow beyond your boundaries. To challenge and transform your inner beliefs, your limiting status-quo. Experience yourself crossing that physical boundary. What lies there for you beyond that perceived comfort zone?
Lazing around. Watching the clouds roll by. Looking out for signs of a snow leopard on the steep rock face opposite me. Soaking in the warm sun. Drinking in the peace of this moment. The sound of rushing turbulent glacial waters below my rocky outcrop tell stories of high altitudes. Resting. Timing out. Letting go.
I love the thrill of walking up a steep moraine, in anticipation of the exhilarating view, when the massive expanse of a glacier suddenly opens up below and in front of me. In dimensions not to be expressed in words.
In the mountain regions of Nepal, tourism is the main driving force of development. Be it western tourists that have come for the past 50+ years, be it guests from neighbouring countries, be it domestic visitors exploring their own country. Tourism carries a wonderful potential, because it brings income, opportunities, exposure, and connectivity to previously very remote areas.
What fascinates me most about the Sherpa People is their life joy. The way they will sing while working, laugh while spending time together, a smile on their face as they pass you by. It is deeply inspirational to witness their generosity, the way they are connected to their lands and its spirits.
